"Did you feed the horse?"

Here's the scoop:

A couple nights ago, I had a dream that the Hubs and I had a horse in our barn.  The horse was cranky and Hubs had been working a long day, so I went out to feed the dumb horse before supper.

Then, being a good wife, I told him, I fed the horse.

That's it.  That was where the dream ended.... but reality began.  Hubs woke me up and said, "you fed the horse?"

Yup. I didn't want you to have to worry about it.

"Thanks," he said, and he rolled over and went back to sleep.

(not a photo of me or a photo by me, from agentlelife.net)
No big deal, right?

Wrong... he hasn't let me live it down.  He has asked me now every night if I've fed the horse or if he needs to go take care of it. He asks me in the morning how the horse is.

Who knows who else he's told and laughed with about it at my expense?!

Well, I'll show him, I'll put it on the Internet... then everyone can know (and laugh at my expense).

(Gal in the Middle posted about her strange dreams, so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon.  Maybe this should've been a linky party?!)

My horse dream was odd, sure, but it doesn't beat the time I woke up screaming at Amy Poehler.  But that's not something I'm ready to share with the world yet.... sorry.

Sweet dreams!

What does this mean about me?

Since we’ve moved in with the Hubs’ brother and his family, I haven’t slept really well.  I toss and turn and have to get up to go to the bathroom (out of bed, through the TV room, down the stairs, through the living room, through the kitchen and down the hall).  I think it has something to do with not sleeping in my own bed and getting used to the one we’re using now.

At least I hadn’t been sleeping well …until last night.

I don’t know what the deal was, but I remember turning off the light and the next thing I know, it’s 6 am and the little dog is licking my face and trying to get me to pet him.

My first thought, “Awesome….," followed by, "Geesh, I gotta pee!”

However, coming with the territory of getting a good night’s sleep, I had some strange dreams.  I always do.

So last night, I dreamt I was at National FFA Convention.  (not a bad place to be, albeit random).  I was supposed to be receiving my National Degree.  (I’ve already received my American Degree in real life, but this dreamt National Degree was a higher honor than that!)

Except I didn’t have my official dress on!

I had on jeans and a Purdue t-shirt!

And tennies!  (ya know, tennis shoes)

And they were dirty!

What does this mean about me?!!

I fear I am tragically under dressed in important situations?  (that’s true, I do)

I should rejoin FFA? (I’m a bit old for that, but if it’s my calling, then God has a sense of humor telling me about it!)

Or does is have anything to do with the photo I saw yesterday of the Indiana State FFA Officers on a billboard welcoming folks to the National FFA Convention coupled with going to a funeral home last night for a visitation of a family member’s g-ma and seeing people there in jeans, t-shirts and dirty tennis and thinking they were dressed very inappropriately for the situation?

That’s what I’m going with.

Not the thought that I am crazy.

Or am I?

No, that can’t be….
